Deceased Name: Nerenberg, Sidney, MD

age 78, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on November 20. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Evelyn; adoring children Dr. Lex and Leslie Nerenberg, Dr. Jeff and Linda Nerenberg, Dr. Jan and Fred Apple, and Jill and Les Korsh. He will be forever missed by his grandchildren Mark, Marissa, Josh, Jaci, Liz, Molly, Shayna and Michael. Also survived by brothers Leo and Sarah Nerenberg and Hy Nerenberg, as well as many caring nieces, nephews and friends. Dr. Nerenberg was a graduate of the University of Minnesota Medical School and a respected and distinguished ophthalmologist in the Twin Cities and an Associate Professor of the University of Minnesota. He received several academic awards for achievement and research throughout his distinguished career and practice. Known for his sense of humor, compassion and ever-lasting kind nature, he will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives he touched. Donations may be sent to the Adath Jeshurun Congregation, the Alzheimer's Association, or donor's choice. Funeral service 1:30 p.m. TUESDAY at Adath Jeshurun Congregation, 10500 Hillside Lane W. Minnetonka SHIVA 7PM Tuesday and Wednesday at 2821 Danbury Way, Minnetonka. Arrangements by Enga-White-Gleason and the Adath Chevra Kovok; 763-535-4112.
